    CORRUPTION IN THE PHILIPPINES

    Philippines is one country where corruption is rampant. It was like a sickness that is widely spread and cannot be cured. As a result, many people suffer, poverty is everywhere, hunger and uneployment are constant. With the present administration, it's not likely that the situation would get better. In fact, it's becomming worse. Our president herself is involved in a lot of scams. This is very alarming, so I've taken interest in writing about this issue in this blog, at least in this way I could express my opinion and I could share it with others. Yesterday, on my way to work in makati, I saw people who are marching comming from different places going to ayala. I was inside an fx and the person sitting next to me commented "Why do you have to organize those rallies! It won't result to anything! you're just wasting your time!". Upon hearing this, I ask myself "am I this uncaring and unconcern?". I told myself that I'm not like that person, he was so cold and so uncaring and I ask myself what I can do to be able to show my comradeship to these people and immediately something came up so I ended up writing this piece of note. Those rallies are organize to show their protest to the government that people of the Philippines are against the charter change that the administration is trying to implement. They want to change the form of our government into a parliamentary and we are oppose to this because we all know that when this happens it is possible that the present administration wont end it's reign and will retain its position and that is something that we cant accept. There are a lot of anomalies and scams that has been going with the present administration so we just cant stand still and ignore we have to do something about this..

    Next presidential ellection, we have to be careful in choosing our next leader and Im hoping he will be someone who have strong integrity and someone who cannot be bribed with money, someone that will do great difference in our country.

    Just an opinion on Hayden Kho and Katrina Halili Scandal

    Ever since those scandalous videos made by Hayden Kho appeared on the internet, it has been the topic on most conversations everywhere. Even the media people are very busy getting the details and airing it on television. Peoples lives specially those who appeared on those videos are terribly affected. We are not aware that while we chatted about it and make funny comments, those people that we talk about feel humiliated and degraded. We dont realize the impact of what those videos made to their lives permanently. It has affected their families, friends and their careers. It may be fun to talk about it with our fellow officemates, friends or classmates but we have to be aware that while we do it others are humiliated, degraded, criticized, embarassed and ruined. Even the media has taken great effort to cover every details of it thereby increasing the curiosity of many of their viewers. We try to criticize Hayden Kho for being such a pervert but dont you think that he has paid enough? Even his family's reputation is getting ruined, his mother got sued and up to this moment he is not sure if he can practice his profession as a doctor. I think he has paid enough. To those girls that appeared on the videos, just imagine the humiliation that they feel every time this issue is being aired on television and everytime people talk about it, just put your self in their situation and you will understand how they feel. I think what's best is for media to stop airing everybit of details on the television, for the senate to pass a bill to prevent scandals like this to happen in the future, and for people to stop gossipping and making fun of this issue.. Let us go on with our lives..

    Umpc netbooks are very popular these days.With their slim and elegant designs, you just cant resist buying one for your own. Besides they are very affordable due to market competition by different manufacturers. The top popular brands of these umpc netbooks are Asus,Hp,MSI,Acer,Lenovo,Dell etc. Most of those I've mentioned are among the popular ones.

    Few months ago, I decided I one to buy one. I really had trouble choosing what I want to buy since there were a lot to choose from and all seems to have great designs and great features. What caught my attention was the MSI wind. The design was great and the spec were higher than the other brands and the price was reasonable. I bought it at $450. It had 2gig ram, 160gig hd and 6cell battery and the other features were the same with the other brands of umpc.. What really made me decide to buy it is the fact that it had great reviews on the internet. Opionions of people who bought the netbooks were great and they were all praise. It seems that people were right about the msi netbooks because up to these days, I didnt have any trouble using my MSI netbook and Im really satisfied with its performance. It is very fast and can run any adobe softwares and many other applications. Im really glad I've seen the reviews on the internet before I decided to buy one.
